This year, the JES Book Buddies after-school early literacy tutoring program is being expanded to include math tutoring and to serve more grades. The program will make extensive use of interactive tutoring software that makes it possible to tailor tutoring to each child's needs.  Some of the tutoring programs are web-based, meaning students may use them for extra practice from any computer that has high-speed internet access, including their homes.  This allows students to get extra practice beyond the Step-Up tutoring time.
